Spencer, IA (KICD)– The United States Department of Agriculture released its weekly crop report Monday afternoon with positive numbers being seen for both development and harvest.
As of Sunday, the corn crop was 95 percent mature, and 11 percent harvested. 97 percent of soybeans were dropping leaves on that same date and were 62 percent completed when it comes to harvest.
USDA/NASS Agricultural Statistician Brian Gallagher has the Iowa numbers for this week.
At the national level 53 percent of corn and 52 percent of soybeans are rated as good to excellent, the lowest numbers since 2012.
