Mankato, MN (KICD)– A vehicle stolen out of Jackson County Tuesday morning has been recovered after being involved in a pursuit in South Central Minnesota.

The Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office originally received a report of an SUV traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 60 near Lake Crystal and later learned the vehicle had been stolen in Heron Lake earlier in the day.

The vehicle and sole occupant, 25-year-old Devon Martinez of Rosemount, were later located just south of Mankato reportedly traveling nearly 100 miles per hour which led police using PIT maneuvers and stop sticks until the vehicle was finally boxed in just north of the junction of Highways 169 and 14.

Martinez was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries before being booked into jail on charges related to the pursuit and stolen vehicle along with an outstanding arrest warrant.
