Hinton, IA (KICD)– Three teenagers have been charged after allegedly leading police on a pursuit in a vehicle stolen out of Northwest Iowa.

The Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office originally contacted authorities in Plymouth County on Monday morning asking for assistance in locating the vehicle which was located near Hinton just before noon.

When police attempted to pull the vehicle over, the driver initially stopped but then took off leading to a pursuit that ended in a residential cul-de-sac before all three suspects fled on foot.

After being apprehended, all three juveniles, only identified as two 14-year-olds and a fifteen year-old, were charged with possession of stolen property, possession of marijuana with intent to delver, failure to affix a drug tax stamp and interference with official acts. The driver was also charged with eluding before all three were taken to the Youth Emergency Services Center in Cherokee.
