Wallingford, IA (KICD) — Members of the Wallingford Fire Department gave up their New Year’s Eve to rescue a family pet who lodged herself in a culvert.
Responders wound up digging a hole 6 feet deep to reach the pipe, then saw into the tile to locate the bull dog.
Fire Chief Jarod Fischer says the dog was not injured as was returned to her happy family.
The Emmet County Sheriff’s Department and Dispatcher assisted at the scene.
