Spencer, IA (KICD)– The Abben Cancer Center at Spencer Hospital has joined a new collaborative effort to help better serve the local community.

Director Mindy Sylvester says the new partnership with the University of Iowa Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center will support medical oncology cancer care in Northwest Iowa.

Sylvester says this new effort goes beyond staffing when it comes to benefits for the community.

Abben Cancer Center is a comprehensive cancer treatment center that was developed in the mid-1990s to enhance cancer care in the local region.
