Spencer, IA (KICD)– The month of February is designated as American Heart Health Month to help bring awareness to the body’s most important muscle and how to make sure it can stay strong.
Ann Rosendahl is the coordinator for Spencer Hospital’s Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation services. She says one person in the United States dies every 34 seconds from cardiovascular disease but there are a number of things we can do to live healthier.
Rosendahl says there is also help available for those needing some extra advice on how to get on the right path.
Spencer Hospital offers different options when it comes to the exercise option as well. There is the 24 hour access idea or medically supervised programs.
More information about Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation services can be found on the Spencer Hospital website or by calling 264-6178.
