Spencer, IA (KICD)– We are pushing through the first month of the new year which is when many people do their best to improve themselves with one of the top goals being to be more physically active.
Jason Trierweiler is the Director of Athletic Enhancement at Spencer Hospital. He says the American Heart Association recommends adults get at least 150 total minutes of moderate-intensity activity each week, but some is always better than none.
As is the problem with many New Year’s resolutions, Trierweiler cautions against trying to do too much right away.
Spencer Hospital offers different physical activity options that range from needing a doctor’s order to medically supervised programs and even a monthly membership. Additional details can be found at spencerhospital.org.
