Spencer, IA (KICD)– August is National Breastfeeding Month and Spencer Hospital is spreading education and tips for success when it comes to new moms and newborns.

Bryn Goettsch is one two International Board Certified Lactation Consultants within Spencer Hospital’s Birth Center. She says her specific job covers a number of different roles to help mom and baby including teaching about some of the benefits of breastfeeding.

Goettsch also notes Spencer Hospital serves and milk depository for the University of Iowa.
