Spencer, IA (KICD)– Initial work is underway to relocate Spencer’s disc golf course from West Leach Park to an area around the Aquatic Center.

Parks and Recreation Director Bob Fullhart tells KICD News the reasoning for the move is two fold, one involving flooding and the second being more of a recent issue.

Fullhart says there is also some planning in the works to expand the current course.

This is not exactly going to be a one and done sort of move. Fullhart says the baskets for the course will be placed yet this year with concrete launch pads being put in place next year.
