In 8-Player Pod 1, Bishop Garrigan of Algona handled North Union 50-15 and Don Bosco of Gilbertville dispatched Clarksville 69-32. The Golden Bears and Dons will play for the quarterfinals next week in Algona.
For 8-Player Pod 2, Woodbine shut-out Southeast Warren 68-0 and Fremont-Mills got past Bedford on the road 40-28. The Tigers and Knights will play in Woodbine for the Quarterfinals.
8-Player Pod 3 had Gladbrook-Reinbeck romp Easton Valley 56-6 and Edgewood-Colesberg remain unbeaten with a 34-12 win against Turkey Valley. The Rebels will host the Vikings in Reinbeck next week for the Quarterfinals.
In 8-Player Pod 4, Iowa Valley had no trouble with Janesville in a 63-0 shutout win and Audubon continues their dominance with an 82-0 route of Montezuma. The Wheelers will pay a visit to the Tigers next week for the Quarterfinals in Marengo.
For Class A Pod 1, MMCRU blanked Gehlen Catholic of Le Mars 37-0 and Woodbury Central also won in shutout fashion against Madrid 21-0. The Royals will host the Wildcats in Marcus next week for the Quarterfinals.
Class A Pod 2 had Saint Ansgar outscore West Fork 53-20 and North Linn beat Pekin 21-3. The Lynx will make the trip north to Saint Ansgar next week to play the Saints in the Quarterfinals.
In Class A Pod 4, Wapsie Valley picked up a home win against Maquoketa Valley 24-14 and Lynnville-Sully got past BGM 51-26. The Warriors host the Hawks in Fairbank next week for the Quarterfinals.
For Class 1A Pod 1, West Lyon had no trouble with Lawton-Bronson in a 63-7 win while Underwood made the long road trip to State Center where they beat West Marshall 42-21. The Wildcats and Eagles collide for the Quarterfinal round next week in Inwood.
Class 1A Pod 3 saw Regina Catholic of Iowa City beat Cascade 52-13 and Pleasantville pick up a road upset win against Hudson 33-20. The Regals play host to the Trojans next Friday in Iowa City for the Quarterfinals.
In Class 1A Pod 4, South Hardin shutout Ridge View 20-0 and Treynor topped Hinton 35-12. The Tigers host the Cardinals in Eldora for the Quarterfinals next Friday.
For Class 2A Pod 1, Kuemper Catholic of Carroll beat OABCIG 26-15 and Cherokee pulled away from Unity Christian of Orange City 40-14. The Braves will be back in Carroll, where their season started, to face the Knights for the Quarterfinals.
Class 2A Pod 2 had Prairie City-Monroe beat Pella Christian 45-31 and Wilton beat West Branch on the road 30-7. The Mustangs host the Beavers in Monroe next Friday for the Quarterfinals.
In Class 2A Pod 3, Mid-Prairie blew out Mediapolis 46-0 and Van Meter picked up a 24-14 win against Roland-Story. The Bulldogs will go to Wellman next week to face the Golden Hawks in the Quarterfinals.
For Class 2A Pod 4, Osage beat Hampton-Dumont-CAL 27-7 and Alburnett handled Waukon 34-16. The Green Devils will play host to the Pirates next week for the Quarterfinals in Osage.
Class 3A Pod 1 saw Clear Lake route Mount Vernon 41-0 and Nevada pick up a 21-14 road win against Carroll. The Lions and Cubs play in Clear Lake for the Quarterfinals Friday.
In Class 3A Pod 2, Solon topped Benton 31-6 and Winterset came away with a 28-6 win against Independence at home. The Spartans and Huskies will meet in Solon for the Quarterfinals next week.
For Class 3A Pod 3, West Delaware got past Mount Pleasant 35-21 and defending state Champions Wahlert Catholic of Dubuque blanked Central DeWitt 38-0. The Golden Eagles make the short trip west to play the Hawks in Manchester for the Quarterfinals.
Class 3A Pod 4 had Bishop Heelan of Sioux City beat Atlantic 28-6 and Sioux Center top Des Moines Christian of Urbandale 28-10. It will be an all-3A District 1 battle in Sioux City between the Crusaders and Warriors next week.
In Class 4A Pod 1, Xavier of Cedar Rapids remains dominant with a 47-0 shutout of Waverly-Shell Rock and ADM edged out North Scott 27-24. The Musketeers and Tigers will play in Cedar Rapids for the Quarterfinals on Friday.
For Class 4A Pod 2, Gilbert held off Lewis Central of Council Bluffs 27-24 and Newton hammered Fort Dodge 51-7. It will be the Tigers at home playing the Cardinals next week in Gilbert for the Quarterfinals.
Class 4A Pod 3 saw Sergeant Bluff-Luton route Le Mars 42-7 and North Polk come away with a 35-21 win against Glenwood. The Comets will visit the Warriors next week for the Quarterfinals in Sergeant Bluff.
In Class 4A Pod 4, Pella picked up a tough, 17-14 win against North of Davenport while Decorah won a thriller in Epworth against Western Dubuque 25-24. The Vikings make the trip down to Pella to play the Dutch for the Quarterfinals on Friday.
For Class 5A Pod 1, Dowling Catholic of West Des Moines handled West of Waterloo 44-6 and West of Iowa City got a tough, 38-31 victory against Cedar Falls on the road. The Maroons host the Trojans, likely in Des Moines Friday for the Quarterfinals.
Class 5A Pod 2 had Northwest of Waukee beat Indianola 28-7 and East of Sioux City top Dallas Center-Grimes 28-14. The Black Raiders make the long drive to Waukee to play the Wolves for the Quarterfinals on Friday.
In Class 5A Pod 3, Johnston got past Centennial of Ankeny 34-26 and Valley of West Des Moines came away with a 26-20 win against Prairie of Cedar Rapids. The Dragons host the Quarterfinals against the Tigers on Friday.
For Class 5A Pod 4, Liberty of Iowa City beat Waukee 34-20 and 3-time defending State Champions Southeast Polk edged out Ankeny 21-14. The Rams go to North Liberty to play the Lightning for the Quarterfinals next week.
