Spencer, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – With last year’s Top two teams working through some turnovers of their roster, a few Twin Lakes contenders will try to snatch the top spot in the 2024-2025 season.

Emmetsburg is one of those groups. The E-Hawks were 13-10 last season and 8-3 in the Twin Lakes Conference. They bring back a very strong sophomore class and will have some high expectations

That is Emmetsburg Coach Annie Fienne. The E-Hawks have a stacked roster early. She says it will be good for their team to see that challenge in the first few weeks.

Sioux Central is one of the top teams from last season that will have to work through losing a lot of talent to graduation. Head Coach Kasey Krager talked about some of the girls that will need to step up to lead the Rebels.

Krager wants to see consistency early from Sioux Central.

West Bend-Mallard brings back some nice skill and will look to build on a strong postseason run in 2023-2024. Coach Thomas Fehr told Northwest Iowa Now what that will take.

Fehr says shooting was a point of emphasis in the offseason.

GTRA lost some production from an 8-15 campaign last season in Seniors Madisen Fay, Olivia Sorenson, and Josi Reiman. This year’s loan Senior Shaylee Wise and a lot of experienced underclassmen will try to best that mark.

The Titans are undersized and will need to play with some pace.

You will be able to hear several Twin Lakes Conference Girls Basketball contests this season on Big Country 107.7.
