Spencer, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – The Spencer Girls Golf team is next up on our Spring Sports Previews.

The Tigers have been able to get outside a little more this spring than in past seasons. Coach Nate Wendt is of course hoping for more days to get out on the course to better prepare for the upcoming season.

Morgan Irvine will be one of the Tigers top returners this season. Irvine says the short game will be important to improve at early on.

Coach Wendt talked about some of the courses that will be very productive in preparing the Spencer Golfers for possible postseason locations.

Gretchen Haak listed some of the courses she enjoys and why she likes them.

Wendt has the top end of the lineup figured out and is looking for either young players or upperclassmen to step up and fill the remaining slots.
