Spencer, IA (Northwest Iowa Now) — Last Thursday MORE 104.9 announced the 17th annual Teacher of The Year.

This year’s recipient is Mrs. Mary VerMulm – kindergarten teacher at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Spencer. She’s been teaching for 36 years and has had the pleasure teaching many students over the years.

Farmers Bank of Spencer sponsored the promotion and presented Mrs. VerMulm with a $250 check. Also, Spencer Mayor Donavan Wunschel was there to proclaim last Thursday, May 21st “Mrs. Mary VerMulm Day” in the city of Spencer.
