ARNOLD’S PARK, IA (northwestiowanow.com) – The Iowa Great Lakes is gearing up for the 43rd Annual Walleye Weekend.

Anglers from across the region are eagerly registering for the event, which promises thrilling competition and substantial prizes. Anglers will have 36 hours to catch one of 10 tagged walleye worth up to $43,000. Iowa Great Lakes Chamber Program Director, Morgan Strauss, tells northwestiowanow.com she is excited for the upcoming weekend.

The event includes a banquet, raffle, and awards ceremony, attracting around 2,000 anglers and boosting local businesses. Additional contests offer over $3,500 in prizes for various heaviest fish categories. The Walleye Weekend will officially begin at 12:01 AM on Saturday, May 3rd.
