Milford, IA — Milford’s annual Pioneer Days returns for its 58th year this weekend.

The celebration begins Friday, July 24 and runs through Sunday, July 26.

Lisa Duffy with the Milford Commercial Club says activities start Friday with town-wide garage sales, bake sales and the annual library book sale before the focus shifts to Florence Park.

Saturday’s schedule includes the annual Pioneer Days Parade at 11 a.m. along with several new attractions.

Other events include a burger feed, free watermelon feed, live music by the Okoboji Music Masters, a mini-rods competition, donut and marshmallow eating contests, and an adult bags tournament.

Sunday’s activities include a Boy Scouts pancake feed, the TRAWL tractor ride around West Lake Okoboji, and an omelet breakfast and bingo at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Former Milford Mayor Steve Anderson will serve as this year’s Pioneer Days Grand Marshal.
