Spencer, Ia (KICD) – The 102nd Northwest Amateur begins on Thursday Morning and will go through Sunday afternoon at the Spencer Golf and Country Club. The First flight on Thursday is at 6:30, going off hole 1 and 18. PGA Professional at the Spencer Golf and Country Club, Adam Coates, broke down the format.

Many have been concerned on what the course will look like after the Spencer Floods. Coates says it is in very good shape despite the flood.

Last year’s Tournament didn’t quite make 72 holes due to various weather interruptions like rain and dense morning fog. For now, the forecast is looking good.

Coates talked about this year’s field.

Brett Benson, the 2023 Champion, will return, along with various other previous winners.
