Orange City, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Three people from Hull are facing a laundry list of charges as the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office wraps up an investigation into a February business burglary.
Following several search warrants that recovered stolen property, deputies first arrested 34-year-old Jakob Gamboa on March 1st. He faces charges of first-degree theft, burglary, and criminal mischief.
The investigation then expanded to include 33-year-old Jesse Van Leeuwen, who allegedly fled the area in a stolen vehicle. He was caught Wednesday March 11 and now faces multiple theft and drug charges. Authorities also arrested 60-year-old Jodi Van Leeuwen on Tuesday, alleging she actively helped Jesse elude law enforcement.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by nearly half a dozen local agencies, including police from Sioux Center, Rock Valley, and the Iowa Great Lakes area. All three suspects remain in the legal system with court dates expected to begin later this month.
