Spencer IA, (KICD) – The city of Spencer is not planning to open the Aquatic Center this season.

Parks and Recreation Director Bob Fullhart says the pool is closed for the season because the cleaning process will take them past this year’s pool season.  Fullhart says that during the startup process they found way more material than they were expecting.

So far, they still haven’t found any major damage.  Fullhart expects the aquatic center to open for next season like normal.
