Spencer, IA (Northwest Iowa Now) — The Spencer Fire Department responded to an attic fire at a home in Spencer.
According to a release issued by the Spencer Fire Department, they were called to 500 West 3rd Street late Friday evening. Once on scene, firefighters found a hole in the celing where fire could be seen in the attic. Two attack lines were deployed and the fire was extinguished after opening the ceiling.
The owner was home at the time of the fire and escaped uninjured. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The Spencer Fire Department was assisted by the Spencer Police Department and Spencer Hospital Paramedics.
