Okoboji, IA (KICD) – The Iowa Great Lakes Area has seen higher than normal water levels this summer.

DNR Fisheries biologist Mike Hawkins Spoke with Northwest Iowa about some of the problems caused by the higher-than-normal water levels.

Hawkins says they have inventoried more than 70 major bank collapses.

Hawkins describes the complexity of the bank collapses.

 

Hawkins says responsibility falls to the landowners to fix the bank collapses.
