Monday Weather Update

Northwest Iowa (Northwest Iowa Now) — All of the KICD broadcast area witnessed blizzard conditions most of the day Sunday and overnight.

Due to wind gusts of over 50 mph in many areas of southern Minnesota and northwest Iowa – law enforcement agengies were advising NO TRAVEL because of “white-out” conditions. Andrew Samet, is a Meteorologist in the Sioux Falls National Weather Service office. He tells KICD News traveling first thing this Monday morning could still be slow going:

 

Samet says winds will die down some by the afternoon, but wind chill readings will be near 18 below
