Cherokee, Iowa (Northwest Iowa Now) — Cherokee County Sheriff Derek Scott reports that a body was found approximately 1 mile east of Cherokee on March 9th, after a report of remains found.
The investigation has determined that the deceased was Josph Kosiba of Cherokee. He had been reported missing in January this year. The remains have been sent to the Medical Examinoer’s Office in Ankeny for an autopsy. Sheriff Scott says no foul play is suspected at this time, but an investigation is ongoing.
