Spencer IA, (Northwest Iowa Now) — During the Spencer Committee of the Whole Meeting earlier this week, Spencer Mainstreet Executive Director Nancy Naeve announced two new grant programs for Spencer businesses.

The first grant program is the Emergency Micro Grant.  This will award 27 grants to 27 different businesses.

Naeve says the Iowa Economic Development Authority awarded the city of Spencer through Spencer Main St. a $100,000 Community Catalyst and Building Remediation Grant.

Applications for the Emergency Micro Grant are due August 25th.  The money will be handed out early in September.
