Des Moines, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — A Spencer woman currently serving as the Assistant Clay County Attorney is the Governor’s pick to fill an opening in the Iowa Court system.

Kim Reynolds has appointed Kristi Busse as the new Associate Judge in Judicial District 3A covering Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Kossuth, O’Brien, Osceola, and Palo Alto counties

Busse received her undergraduate degree at Buena Vista University and her law degree at the University of Nebraska.

The position was created when Andrew J. Smith was promoting from Associate judge to fill a vacancy on the bench.
