Jackson, MN (Northwestiowanow.com) — A Colorado man led Dickinson County authorities on a high-speed chase Friday night, and was arrested in Jackson County Minnesota following an accident.
The pursuit began around 6:30 Friday night as 21 year old Samuel Origer of Breckenridge, Colorado exceeded 100 miles per hour as he fled East of Spirit Lake on highways 9 and 71 and then North on HIghway 71 across the border.
As the highway turns the corner in Jackson at Bluff Avenue, Origer collided with a vehicle operated by 38 year old Matthew Bezdicek of Jackson. Bezdicek was taken to the local hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.
Origer was taken to the Jackson County jail where he is being held on pending charges of fleeing a peace officer.
