Cherokee, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — City of Cherokee has finally hired a City Manager, after functioning without since last summer. Teresa Pudenz joins the city with considerable experience and local ties, and she talks to us about her experience and her thoughts on her new role.

Pudenz joins the Cherokee city government as they continue flood recovery efforts.

The City of Cherokee now has a mayor and city manager but still have two vacant seats on the city council. Tonight (Tuesday, April 8) the council meets at 5:40 to discuss the proposed property tax levy, and in regular session at 6 p.m. where they plan to appoint City Council Ward 2.
