Cherokee, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — A Cherokee man is due in court next week, after allegedly causing a scene at a local restaurant while posing as a health inspector.

Police say 40-year-old Jason Skadeland was picking up food at The Little Panda, a Cherokee Chinese food restaurant, on December 20th. He allegedly became belligerent with staff and threatened to shut the business down.

Skadeland is not employed by the state, and is charged with impersonating a public official, an aggravated misdemeanor. and he posted bond and is scheduled for arraignment on January 23
