MILFORD, IA (NORTHWESTIOWANOW) — The City of Milford has approved a resolution supporting a major manufacturing expansion by Rosenboom Machine & Tool.
The resolution was approved during the regular Milford City Council meeting Monday, April 27. The action clears the way for the company to apply for state assistance through Iowa’s Business Incentives and Growth, or BIG, Program.
The motion was required before the Iowa Economic Development Authority can formally consider the project under Iowa Code sections 15.502 through 15.511.
The expansion is designed to support continued growth from Rosenboom’s current Iowa operations in Spirit Lake and Sheldon, while adding new production capacity and advanced manufacturing capabilities.
Rosenboom President Brian Rosenboom told the council the project will be located at the former Oak Hill Outdoor property at 2188 Highway 86.
Milford Mayor Bob Clark says the city views the project as a positive step forward.
Clark says the council’s approval means the project can now officially move ahead.
The resolution was approved unanimously.
Officials say the project is expected to begin around June 1, 2026, with a four- to five-year timeline, and is expected to create 70 to 80 new full-time jobs as the expansion progresses.
