Spencer, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — You’re invited to discover the power of art for mental health and community connection next Monday, August 4th, in Spencer.

Clay County LINC and the Spencer Family YMCA are proud to present “Paint in the Park.” This event will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at the East Leach Park shelter area.

Participants will be guided by local instructor Paris Spencer in creating their own unique artwork. Spencer Reads will also be present, offering free books.

This event welcomes Clay County residents aged 14 and above, and there are only 30 spots available for the class, and to ensure accessibility, on-site childcare will be provided.
