Peterson, IA (KICD) — There were no injuries last week when a semi filled with grain overturned on highway 10 near Peterson.

The Clay County Sheriff’s department tells us Timothy Allen of Whittemore was Southbound on County Road M-27 and attempted to turn East onto the highway. He told the investigating Deputy that his brakes failed coming down the hill.

Allen was charged with failure to maintain control. The semi is owned by Ronald Kollasch of Whittemore and 75 thousand dollars damage was estimated. The Iowa State Patrol and Peterson Ambulance also responded.
