CLAY COUNTY, IA (NorthwestIowaNow) – The deadline for residents in Clay County to pay property taxes is quickly approaching.

Clay County Treasurer LeAnne Black wants to remind residents that the deadline to pay their property taxes is Tuesday, September 30th. Black explains that a penalty will be applied to late payments. After October 1st, there will be 1.5% penalty that will be assessed to the property taxes.

Residents have several options to submit payment. Payments can be delivered by mail, dropped off in the drop boxes on the north and south sides of the Clay County Administration Building, or made in person at the Treasurer’s Office at 300 West 4th Street.

Online payments are also available, and residents can use Visa, Mastercard, or Discover.
