Spencer, Ia (KICD) – Here is your Tuesday Scoreboard.

Sibley-Ocheyedan hosted their home invitational for Cross Country on Tuesday at the Sibley Golf Course.

In the Girls Race, Nora Peterson won with a time of 18:37.47, Sibley-Ocheyedan’s Amadelaid Benetiz was 2nd with 21:39.07, Alta-Aruelia’s Hayden Berkland was 6th wtih a time of 21:55.6 with teammate Breyer Anderson in 7th at 22:00.07, and Sibley-Ocheyedan’s Aleah Marco placed 9th with a time of 22:32.92.

In the team scores, Alta-Aurelia won with 45 points and the other scoring team from the KICD area, Okoboji, was 4th with 91.

In the Boys Race, Evan Osler of Okoboji won with a time of 17 minutes point three six seconds, Ben Byers was 2nd at 17:09.49, followed by Trigg Heimdal of Okoboji in 3rd with 17:13.91, Sheldon’s Michael Wssenaar was 5th at 17:44.13, and the Okoboji runners of Tyson Fear went 7th with 17:59.32 and Ryker Ballis was 8th at 18:06.12.

Okoboji won with 33 points, Sheldon was 2nd at 62, Sibley-Ocheyedan 3rd with 98, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn was 7th with 195, MMCRU placed 10th, Alta-Aurelia 11th, and South O’Brien placed 14th.

Estherville Lincoln Central hosted their Home Cross Country meet on Tuesday.

In the Girls race, West Bend-Mallard’s Tyra Schupbach picked up another win, running 18:44.05. Sioux Central’s Nora Christian finished 6th at 20:53.53, Estherville Lincoln Central’s Rylee Yager was 8th at 21:38.97, North Union’s Jacey Welbig took 9th at 21:53.93, and Karina Bloom of Sioux Central clocked 22:25.71 to take 10th.

In the Girls team standings, Humboldt won with 49 points, West Bend-Mallard was 3rd with 79, losing the 6th runner tiebreaker to Algona because the Wolverines did not have a #6 runner, Estherville Lincoln Central was 4th with 90, Emmetsburg 5th at 124, a short-handed Sioux Central finished 6th, Spirit Lake 7th, and GTRA was 8th.

In the Boys race, Brandon Hughes of Spirit Lake burned a time of 15:54.45 to win with teammate Dietrich Dirks in 2nd at 16:04.42. Spirit Lake’s Jace Hungerford was 4th at 16:17.82, Sioux Central’s Lucos Wernimont took 5th with a time of 16:45.65, Spirit Lake’s Carter Trautman took 6th at 17:21.82, Warren Duitsman of Estherville Lincoln Central ran 17:50.35 to place 7th, Leighton Sippel of Sioux Central finished 8th with a time of 17:57.84, and Spirit Lake put all 5 scorers in the top 10 with Oliver Thompson finishing 10th at 18:05.38.

Spirit Laake of course dominated the team score, 23 points with not only all 5 scorers in the top 5, but their next 2 at 18 and 19. Sioux Central was 3rd with 67, Estherville Lincoln Central 4th with 99, and Emmetsburg was 6th.

Spencer and Storm Lake were at the Gary Meyer Cross Country Invitational in Brunsville, hosted by LeMars.

In the Girls race, Harlan’s Lindsey Sonderman won with a time of 19:23.9. Spencer’s Peyton Morey would take 6th with a time of 21:03.75.

In the team scores, it was Harlan winning with 72. Spencer placed 6th wtih 133 and Storm Lake finished 9th with 245.

For the Boys Race, Kuma Gutema of Sioux City North won, clocking 16:56.37.

Lewis Central won the team score with 38. Spencer finished 6th with 156 and Storm Lake was 7th with 180.
