Des Moines, IA (northwestiowanow.com) — State Senator Dave Rowley from Spirit Lake used the special session to announce some good news about his recent illness.

Rowley was diagnosed with tonsil cancer in February. At that time, he told KICD News the prognosis from his doctors was that the disease was “serious, but curable.”
