Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Developers of a potential ammonia-producing facility in Clay County have gone public as they try to line up farmers to provide the needed electricity the plant would require from wind turbines and solar cells. Dave Wagner say Cedar Ridge Energy would use water instead of natural gas to produce “clean” ammonia.

Besides 150 permanent jobs, Wagner tells Northwestiowanow.com the plant could have other benefits for the community.

An exact location for the potential Amonia production facility has not been selected. Wagner says several different water sources – not just the river – are being considered. Farmers interested in leasing land for energy production can find more information at cedar ridge energy dot com.
