Spirit Lake, Iowa — According to a report from the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, four people were arrested after a report of suspicious activity at a West Lake Okoboji home. A neighbor called in a report that activity was happening when no one should be there.
After contacting the homeowner who gave them permission to enter the residence, four people were found inside the home, with drugs and paraphernalia in plain sight.
According to the report, large amounts of substances believed to be methamphetamine, ecstasy, and fentanyl were on the table, and some had been packaged into smaller bags. After a search warrant, deputies also found small plastic bags in the vehicle outside.
David Reyes, 25, and Nathan Franklin, 29, both of Sioux City, were both charged with trespassing, first offense, 3 counts each of controlled substance violation, and three counts each of failure to affix a drug tax stamp. Franklin also received a count of possession of paraphernalia. Two others were charged with trespassing, first offense.
