EMMET COUNTY, IA (Northwestiowanow) — The filing period for candidates wishing to appear on the June 2 Primary Election ballot opens next week.

The Emmet County Auditor’s Office says the filing window begins Tuesday, March 2, and continues through Friday, March 20. Several county positions will be on the ballot this cycle, including County Attorney, County Treasurer, County Recorder, and two seats on the Emmet County Board of Supervisors.

Residents planning to run under either the Democratic or Republican Party must complete the required candidacy paperwork and meet the necessary signature requirements before submitting their materials.
