Emmetsburg, IA (Northwest Iowa Now) — Emmetsburg School patrons will likely be voting on a new elementary school in the general election. Superintendent Cory Jenness says a facilities study put needs at the K-4 building at the top of the list.

Jennes tells Northwest Iowa Now the 50 thousand square foot building is too cramped for the approximate 300 students who attend each year.

Emmetsburg Schools are in the process of certifying that all of the signatures on the petition calling for the bond issue meet the legal requirements. We’ll have more details on the bond issue at the actual vote gets closer.
