Emmetsburg, Iowa (Northwest Iowa Now) — The annual tradition of inviting an Irish Dignitary to visit Emmetsburg continues for the 65th Annual Emmetsburg Irish Celebration. This year, Irish Parliament Member Cathal Crowe shares what his first impressions are after arriving Wednesday night.
St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated worldwide, and Crowe says it is still a big holiday in Ireland.
Crowe has visited with city leaders, law enforcement, farmers, and hopes to continue spreading the Irish Good Cheer.
Events continue today through Sunday in Emmetsburg, including the famous parade Saturday afternoon. For information, visit www.emmetsburgirishgifts.com and St. Pat’s Association on FB.
