ARNOLDS PARK, IA (Northwestiowanow) — City crews signed the final steel beam that will be placed on the new Arnolds Park Civic Complex.
City officials, contractors, and community members gathered Friday, April 10, for a beam-signing ceremony. Once installed, the beam will mark the point at which the structure reaches its full height — a major milestone in the project.
When completed, the Civic Complex will house city offices, the library, police and fire departments, and city crews.
Arnolds Park Mayor Jim Hussong says the new Civic Complex has been nearly a decade in the making.
The new facility will replace the city’s former building — a converted used-car dealership that served the community for nearly 30 years.
Seth Lukonen, project manager with Hausmann Construction, says progress continues to move smoothly.
Arnold’s Park City Clerk Linda Nase says the project reflects years of planning and coordination and will allow the city to better serve residents.
City officials say the project remains on schedule, with plans to begin moving into the Civic Complex by the end of the year.
