Fire Prevention Week

Storm Lake, Iowa (northwestiowanow.com) — It’s National Fire Prevention Week.

Storm Lake Fire Chief Glenn Schlesser says public education is a priority for his department and believes it has actually led to a reeducation of kitchen fires.

Schlesser tells northwestiowanow.com smoke detectors are critical in all homes.

The Chief says carbon monoxide detectors are also important. The Storm Lake Fire Department has multiple public events this week to spread the word about fire prevention.
