Clay County Fair (Northwestiowanow.com) — The winner of the People’s Choice Award for the best new fair food in 2025 is Sleepy Bison Grill.

The sandwich is a bison steak on a hoagie bun with two types of cheese and the chips.
Elizabeth and Craig Fischer have been raising bison for a dozen years at Sleep Bison Acres but started the food truck just last year.

Sleepy Bison Grill is located directly East of the beef barns. As you might guess from their name – the Fischers are from Sleepy Eye, Minnesota.
