Morris says the mission of giving back was there from the start. The non-profit thrift store offers affordable products and clothing donated by the community, and pledging $120,000 is a direct result of generous donors, committed volunteers, loyal shoppers and a resilient community.

The funding comes at a critical time, as the Clay County Long Term Recovery Group continues to provide assistance to families with needs unmet over a year after the disaster.

Morris says the spirit of Fresh Start Market and Boutique, and its name, truly reflects Spencer’s attitude.
