Orleans, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Gillnetting has begun at the Iowa Great Lakes. DNR Hatcheries Manager Kim Hawkins says thousands of people like to visit the facility this time of year.

If you know what you’re looking for, you’ll see more changes at the hatchery this year.

During gillnetting the hatchery is open 8am to 8pm. It’s expected to take three to four days.
