Spencer, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – Some 9-County Area girls wrestling teams fired up the new season yesterday.

Spencer was on the road for a quad in Denison.

Spencer beat Creston 54-24, Denison-Schleswig 51-30, and lost to Ridge View 66-18.

Emmetsburg hosted Sioux Central and Okoboji/HMS. Sioux Central would top Emmetsburg 30-15, Okoboji/HMS prevailed over Emmetsburg 66-10 as well as Sioux Central 57-24.
