Ruthven, Ia (KICD) – Harris-Lake Park traveled to GTRA on Thursday evening for some 8-Player District 2 High School Football action. The game was moved from Friday Night because of a referee shortage. Matt Groenewold was on the call for Big Country 107.7.
GTRA was able to score midway through the 1st Quarter to go up 8-0. The Titans would then explode in the 2nd quarter for 28 points, highlighted by 2 Teagan Hansen to Kasey Hough Touchdown passes.
The running clock began as the 3rd Quarter did, but the Titans still found the endzone a couple more times, including a 65-yard Touchdown Pass from Hough to Jackson Schnell.
The Titans would add one more score in the 4th quarter to go up 58-0. Harris-Lake Park put together a drive late where Adam Bensley powered in for a Touchdown.
GTRA would come away with a 58-8 route of the Wolves to stay unbeaten on the season.
Kasey Hough put together another ridiculous stat line. The Senior ran for 102 yards and 3 Touchdowns, passed for 109 yards and a Touchdown, then caught 5 passes for 120 yards and 2 touchdowns for a whopping 349 total yards of offense and 6 Total Touchdowns.
GTRA is now 6-0 on the year and 4-0 in 8-Player District 2. Up next for the Titans will be the de facto District Championship on October 11th against the defending District and State Champions Bishop Garrigan of Algona.
Harris-Lake Park falls to 2-4 this season and 2-2 in 8-Player District 2 play. Harris-Lake Park will try to get back on track after 3 straight losses when they travel to North Iowa on October 11th.
