Lake Park IA, (Northwest Iowa Now)- Harris Lake Park Community Schools held a groundbreaking ceremony Monday morning for the new elementary school.

Mayor of Lake Park Matt Carstensen spoke with Northwest Iowa Now about what the new school means to the community.

Superintendent Gary Richardson says the project will include new elementary, gym and a playground.

 

Richardson says that he is not surprised about the support from the community.

 

Richardson says that the project completion date is set for March 2025.
