Marcus, Ia (KICD) – The War Eagle conference Cross Country Meet was run in Marcus on Thursday.

In the girl’s race, Ava Lang of Hinton won with a time of 21:43.22. Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn’s Kamryn Ebel took 3rd at 23:17.27 and MMCRU’s Alisa Pajazetovic was 6th with a time of 24:20.99.

For the Boys race, Lucas Braun of MMCRU was 1st at a time of 18:14.38. South O’Brien’s Landen Davenport was 3rd at 18:41.45, followed by Clint Staab of MMCRU at 18:48.23. Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn went back-to-back with Aiden Bush in 6th, clocking 18:53.22 and Easton Teal in 7th with 19:16.77.

Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn was crowned Twin Lakes conference Champions with 57 points. MMCRU was 2nd with 74 and George-Little Rock took 3rd at 82. South O’Brien was 4th.
