Holstein, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — It’s a once in a lifetime event, that special day when the date lines up with your city zip code. Mail something to Holstein, Iowa and you’ll use 51025. It’s also Nickle Dime Quarter Day. And this Saturday is May 10th, 2025, so Holstein is celebrating.

Lauren Meyers is one of the organizers:

Holstein is not named for cattle but for the Holstein–Schleswig region in Germany, where many Iowa pioneers called home at one time. So there will be German polka music and food, and the  “Pork Tornadoes” will entertain on Saturday night.

Holstein is located at the corner of US Highways 59 and 20.
