Iowa City, IA (northwestiowanow.com) — The Director of the Iowa Flood Center will be addressing a public meeting in Spencer Tuesday night. Hydrology Professor Larry Weber says their process of issuing flood warnings differs from the National Weather Service – which is still responsible for Clay County.
Weber tells Northwestiowanow.com the National Weather Service relies on river readings upstream tributaries feeding the major waterways in Iowa.
The flood meeting will be held at 6pm Tuesday at the Regional Event Center in Spencer.
