Spencer, IA (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Iowa Great Lakes Lutheran School in Spencer is expanding. And today the entire school, staff and community were on hand to break ground.

That’s Iowa Great Lakes Lutheran School Principal Sarah Popp (Pope) and she talks about the growth over the last 25 years.

Today’s groundbreaking kicks off phase one of expansion.

A generous estate gifted this summer to the school has spurred progress, but Popp says there will be a campaign to raise additional funds necessary for this project.

The building portion of the construction will commence in early 2025, with the goal is to open for the 2025-2026 school year.
